California overcomes Oregon State 87-76

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — Allen Crabbe scored 26 points, Markhuri Sanders-Frison added 16 and California overcame a slow start to beat Oregon State 87-76 Saturday.

Jorge Gutierrez had 14 points and nine assists and Harper Kamp added 12 points for the Golden Bears (16-13, 9-8 Pac-10), who overcame a first-half double digit deficit for the second straight game.

Crabbe was 8 of 12 from the field for Cal, which has won three in a row.

Ahmad Starks scored 18 points and Jared Cunningham added 14 for the Beavers (10-17, 5-11), who lost for the fifth time in six games and saw a 12-point first half lead disappear. They were booed by the home fans at the end of the game.

Omari Johnson added 10 points and eight rebounds for Oregon State.
