SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle police say a suspect has been arrested in the death of a woman whose body was found last month in a closet of her Belltown apartment.

Michelle Thornton was reported missing a few days after she failed to answer the door when friends showed up for her annual New Year’s Eve party. Her body was found inside on Jan. 6.

The Seattle Police Department said in a brief statement that the suspect was arrested on Saturday with help from the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. No other information about the arrest was immediately available.
