A Vancouver couple who had been reported missing since Sunday have been found safe, a 911 dispatcher said late Friday.

John and Patricia Norvell, or someone calling for them, called to say they are safe, the dispatcher said about 9:30 p.m.

About 8:45 p.m. Friday, this message was posted by Leanne Norvell Sosa on a Face-book page created after the Norvells went missing:

“MY Mom just called!!! They have been stuck in an ice pocket up in Cougar since Monday with only water. They are trying to drive down now. We are trying to get their location and get them medical aid! Thank you for all your prayers. WE will keep you updated.”

The Norvells, both 63, were last seen at about 6 p.m. Sunday.

Officials had said they could be traveling in a bluish-green 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
