ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Ryan Rossiter scored a career-high 34 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to break a 61-year-old school record as Siena defeated Marist 81-73 Sunday night in the regular-season finale for both teams.

The outcome changed nothing for this week’s Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tournament. Siena (12-17, 8-10) remained the No. 7 seed and Marist (5-26, 3-15), which lost for the 13th time in 14 games, remained the No. 9 seed. Siena’s winning streak against its archrival also remained intact, growing to nine.

Rossiter, playing in his last home game, made 9 of 15 shots, 16 of 18 from the free-throw line and had four of the Saints’ five blocked shots. He has 388 rebounds this season, breaking Billy Harrell’s mark of 387 from the 1949-50 season

Clarence Jackson added 19 points to rally the Saints, who trailed 34-30 at halftime.

Anell Alexis had 22 points to lead Marist.
