Colston, Thomas, Shockey out for Saints

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Receiver Marques Colston, running back Pierre Thomas and tight end Jeremy Shockey have been scratched by the New Orleans Saints for their game against Tampa Bay.

The Buccaneers also scratched receiver Sammie Stroughter on Sunday. He practiced this past week with a sore a hamstring.

Colston has not practiced since having arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Tuesday, a procedure coach Sean Payton described as minor. Thomas hurt his left ankle in Friday’s practice. Shockey missed practice most of the week with a sore groin.

Also inactive for the Saints are safety Usama Young, defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove and tight end David Thomas.

The Bucs’ inactives include fullback Earnest Graham and defensive tackle Doug Worthington.
