North Texas picks up sixth straight win 80-63

DENTON, Texas (AP) — Josh White scored 22 points and Tristan Thompson had 18 to lead North Texas to its sixth straight win, an 80-63 decision over Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday.

It was the 15th straight home victory for the Mean Green (13-2, 2-0 Sun Belt), who are 10-0 at the Super Pit this season. It is also North Texas’ 13th consecutive win over a Sun Belt Conference opponent.

Josh Brown led the Ragin’ Cajuns (2-11, 0-2) with 18 points on 7-of-15 shooting, while Bryant Mbamalu added 13 points.

Dominique Johnson and Jacob Holmen had 11 points each for the Mean Green, who led 40-33 at halftime and built leads of 23 points four times in the second half.
