Portland State beats Idaho State 79-72

POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — Chris Harriel scored 25 points, including seven 3-pointers, to lead Portland State to a 79-72 victory over Idaho State Sunday afternoon.

Charles Odum scored 21 points and Melvin Jones 14 for the Vikings (8-6, 1-1 Big Sky).

Deividas Busma had 22 points and 11 rebounds for Idaho State (5-9, 1-1). Chase Grabau scored 14 points and Andre Hatchett 10.

The Vikings used three consecutive 3-pointers from Harriel in a one-minute span to build a 10-point lead with 1:32 left in the game. He made 7 of 11 attempts from 3-point range.

Portland State shot 56 percent (14 for 25) from behind the arc while Idaho State made 27 percent (4 for 15) of its 3-point tries.

Idaho State outrebounded Portland State 37-20.
