SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Notre Dame tight end Kyle Rudolph will give up his final season of eligibility and make himself available for the NFL draft.
The school announced the decision Wednesday. The 6-foot-6, 265-pound junior ranks fourth in school history in career receptions (90) and receiving yards (1,032) by a tight end. He missed the final seven games of last season with a hamstring injury.
Rudolph, who has eight career touchdowns, started 28 of the 29 career games he played at Notre Dame. He ranks in the top 10 in single-season receptions by a tight end in school history, catching 29 passes as a freshman, 33 as a sophomore and 28 this past season, including a career-best 164 receiving yards on eight receptions against Michigan.
