PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) — Dan Mavraides scored 16 points to lead five Princeton players in double figures in a 68-57 win over Marist on Wednesday night.

Douglas Davis added 15 points, Jimmy Sherburne 12, Ian Hummer 11 and Brendan Connolly 10 for the Tigers (11-4).

Princeton never trailed in winning its school-record tying 11th straight game against Division I teams. The 1997-98 team was the last to do so.

Princeton held Marist (3-12) to just 8-of-30 shooting in the first half (26.7 percent), including 0 for 10 from 3-point range to build a 37-20 lead at halftime.

The Red Foxes shot better in the second half, making 40.6 percent from the field (13 of 32) and outscored the Tigers 37-31. It wasn’t enough, however, as Princeton went 14 of 17 from the free-throw line in the second half (82.4 percent).

Marist was led by Sam Prescott with 12 points off the bench.
