LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — Travis Bureau scored 22 points and Randell Daigle added 17 to help Lousiana-Lafayette hang on to beat Troy 93-91 on Thursday night.
The Ragin’ Cajuns (3-11, 1-2 Sun Belt Conference) led 93-89 with 13 seconds to go before a layup from Will Weathers pulled the Trojans within two.
After a turnover from Raymone Andrews, Troy (2-12, 0-2) regained possession with 8 seconds to go, but Weathers missed a potential game-tying layup as time expired.
Weathers scored a career-high 32 to lead the Trojans. Weathers’ previous career high was 15 points, which he scored against Miami (Ohio) on Dec. 11.
