CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — Al’Lonzo Coleman scored 16 points and surpassed the 1,000-point milestone for his career as Presbyterian routed Gardner-Webb 78-44 on Thursday night.

Josh Johnson scored a career-high 22 points, Khalid Mutakabbir had 15 and Jake Troyli 11 for the Blue Hose, who won their second straight game.

Johnson was 6 of 7 from 3-point range. The Blue Hose shot 56.3 percent (9 of 16) from behind the arc and 85.2 percent (23 of 27) from the free-throw line.

The Blue Hose led 41-16 at halftime after the Runnin’ Bulldogs made only 6 of 25 field goal attempts (24 percent). The Blue Hose outrebounded Gardner-Webb 40-25 and scored 13 second-chance points.

It was the fewest points allowed by the Blue Hose (8-8, 2-2 Big South Conference) since a 59-43 win over Army on Dec. 1, 2008.

David Brown scored 12 points for the Runnin’ Bulldogs (6-11, 1-4), who have lost seven straight.
