NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Ayron Hardy scored 16 points, passing 1,000 for his career, as Jacksonville overcame a Lipscomb rally for a 60-56 victory in an Atlantic Sun Conference game Saturday night.

Travis Cohn added 12 points, and Russell Powell and Keith McDougald had 10 apiece for the Dolphins (10-3, 4-0).

Jacksonville led 37-25 at halftime, then weathered a Bisons rally in the second half. Josh Slater led Lipscomb with 21 points and Adnan Hodzic added 14 points and 10 rebounds. The Bisons (8-6, 3-2) pulled even at 56 on Slater’s free throws with 1:11 to play.

But Hardy answered with a free throw with 48 seconds left, Powell hit another with 16 seconds left and McDougald added the final two with 4 seconds left. Meanwhile, Slater missed a jumper and a 3-pointer, and by the time Jordan Burgason misfired on a 3-pointer with 2 seconds left, it wouldn’t have made a difference anyway.
