EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — A 28-year-old Springfield man who pleaded guilty to burglarizing six churches in the city last fall was sentenced to nearly six years in prison.

The Register-Guard reports Ryan Silar Schroder apologized in Lane County Circuit Court Thursday and blamed his methamphetamine addiction.

Schroder also was convicted in 2005 of burglaries at churches and an elementary school in the Eugene-Springfield area.
