ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Kendrick Harris scored 17 points and Devon Lamb had a double-double as Lamar held off Texas-Arlington 76-72 on Saturday night.

Anthony Miles had 16 points, six steals and five assists for the Cardinals (8-8, 2-1 Southland Conference). Brandon Davis added 16 points, and Lamb had 13 points and 12 rebounds.

LaMarcus Reed led the Mavericks (7-9, 1-2) with 15 points. Bradley Gay and Armani Williams scored 14 apiece, Bo Ingram had 11 and Shaquille White-Miller 10. But the Mavericks shot only 35.2 percent (25 of 71).

Miles’ three-point play with 1:12 elapsed put the Cardinals ahead 3-2 and started a 13-0 run, after which the Mavericks never led. Lamar was up 33-18 at intermission, pushed it to 18 in the second half and still led 68-58 with 1:19 left.

Texas-Arlington rallied within four but got no closer.
