Man rescued after hurting leg while snowshoeing

BEND, Ore. (AP) — A 50-year-old Albany man has been rescued after hurting his leg while snowshoeing.

Volunteers from Deschutes County Search and Rescue rescued Steve Ker from near Virginia Meissner Sno-park on Saturday. The team found him about two miles from the sno-park. He had been snowshoeing with friends.

The Bend Bulletin reports Ker was towed back to the parking lot and taken to Bend by friends to treat his injuries.
