Bomb kills 1, wounds 14 in northwestern Pakistan

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) — Police say a bomb has exploded outside a school in northwestern Pakistan, killing at least one person and wounding 14 others.

The identity of the slain man was not immediately known.

Police official Sattar Khan said Wednesday that the bomb was planted outside the school in a residential area of the northwestern city of Peshawar.

He said the dead and the injured have been transported to a hospital.
