Texas State edges Sam Houston State 95-91

SAN MARCOS, Texas (AP) — Ryan White finished with 22 points and 11 assists and Texas State rallied to beat Sam Houston State 95-91 Wednesday night.

J.B. Conley added 19 points, Travis Jones had 15, Cameron Johnson 14 and Uriel Segura 12 for the Bobcats (7-10, 2-1 Southland), who outscored the Bearkats 18-8 in the final five minutes.

Gilberto Clavell scored 26 points to lead Sam Houston State (9-8, 2-2), Josten Crow had 23 and Marcus Williams 12.

Texas State trailed 49-45 at intermission and was down 83-77 with 5:24 to play after a free throw by Williams before taking the lead on a Travis Jones’ 3-pointer with 3:48 remaining.

The Bobcats held on from there for their fourth win in five games.
