A man who showed a threatening note to a teller escaped with some cash at a Walnut Grove area bank Friday.

Sheriff’s deputies were called to the robbery at Chase Bank, 6712 N.E. 63rd St., at about 2:05 p.m.

According to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian, the suspect was described as a clean-shaven short white man, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing glasses.

He wore a cream-colored sweater, jeans and a red hat.

No weapon was displayed.

Deputies were searching the area and no arrest had been made Friday night, said Clark County Sheriff’s Sgt. Tony Barnes.
