Bjoergen cruises to World Cup win in Estonia

OTEPAA, Estonia (AP) — Three-time Olympic champion Marit Bjoergen of Norway held off Polish rival Justyna Kowalczyk to win a 10-kilometer World Cup event on Saturday.

Bjoergen won the classic-style race in 27 minutes, 2.1 seconds. Kowalczyk, who tops the World Cup standings, crossed the line 32 seconds behind. Therese Johaug of Norway was third, 41.6 seconds back.

The men’s 15K race takes place later Saturday.
