BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Gaby Belardo hit a layup with 4 seconds on the clock to lift Canisius to a 75-73 victory over Iona on Sunday.

Greg Logins scored a career-high 30 points on 11-of-15 shooting and the Golden Griffins (9-10, 3-6 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) snapped Iona’s five-game winning streak.

Canisius led 72-67 with 30 seconds remaining, but a 3-pointer from Sean Armand pulled the Gaels (13-7, 7-2) within two.

Iona guard Jermel Jenkins hit a 3 with 10 seconds to go, tying the score at 73 before Belardo’s game-winner. Scott Machado’s desperation 3-pointer for the win missed as time expired.

Machado finished with 17 points, Jenkins added 14 and Kyle Smyth 13. Mike Glover had 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Gaels.

Elton Frazier and Belardo scored 11 points apiece for Canisius, which shot 53.8 percent from the floor (28 of 52).
