LEWISTON, N.Y. (AP) — Maurice Barrow and Yorel Hawkins each had 14 points and nine rebounds as Fairfield sent Niagara to its 10th loss in 11 games with a 57-49 victory Sunday.

The Stags (15-4, 8-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) won their fourth in a row and their 14th in the last 15. They overcame their cold shooting touch from the field — they were 18 of 53 for 34 percent — by outrebounding the Purple Eagles 44-31 and getting to the free-throw line nearly twice as often. Fairfield was 20 of 29 from the line; Niagara (4-17, 1-8), which used only seven players and suffered its fourth straight loss, was 10 of 16.

Barrow’s 14 points represented a career high. He and Hawkins got help inside from Ryan Olander, who added 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Marvin Jordan had 16 points to lead Niagara while Anthony Nelson added 14 and Kevon Moore had 10.
