ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Anaheim Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf has been cleared to skate with the team nearly one month after getting hit in the face with a puck.

The team said Thursday that the star center will be back on the ice with the Ducks on Monday after the All-Star break.

Getzlaf is expected to return to the lineup sometime during a three-game road trip to western Canada beginning Feb. 9 in Vancouver.

Getzlaf has missed 12 games since a deflected shot caused multiple nasal sinus fractures Dec. 28 at Phoenix. He didn’t need surgery, and a follow-up CT scan Wednesday showed the fractures are healing well.

Getzlaf has 13 goals and 24 assists in 40 games this season. Anaheim has surged in his absence, going 9-3-0.
