FRUIT VALLEY — After 21 years at its helm, Lee McCallister has decided to resign as president of the Fruit Valley Neighborhood Association. “He is tired and thinks it is time to let someone younger take over the position,” says the latest Fruit Valley newsletter. “Lee will be on hand to help the new president with some things that are in the works now and also on some decisions to come up.” New officers will be elected Feb. 3. Meanwhile, the last Fruit Valley meeting included a presentation to McCallister from the Port of Vancouver — an official Port of Vancouver coat. He graciously accepted and said, “It even fits!” His wife, Karen, responded: “It should, they called me and I told them your size.”
