Elvin and Alta Cotton recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary during a family dinner.

The couple was married June 20, 1946. They both worked for the Crown Zellerbach paper mill, Elvin for 40 years, Alta for 27 years. They have been active members of the Washougal Methodist Church for 60 years. They have vacationed and visited all 50 states. Elvin was active in the horse community for 40 years and enjoyed numerous trail rides in the Pacific Northwest.

They have two children, Dale Cotton and his wife Catherine of Vancouver, and daughter, Lois Clark and her husband Leo of Camas, and one grandson.
