Firefighters coping with 100-acre fire in SW Ore.

CANYONVILLE, Ore. (AP) — A 100-acre fire has been reported in rugged terrain in southwestern Oregon.

The Douglas Forest Protective Association and several fire departments have created a fire trail around the flames, but the fire was uncontained on Tuesday morning near Beals Creek. No injuries have been reporter.

Beals Creek is about 25 miles southeast of Roseburg.

The firefighters planned to use a helicopter, a bulldozer and seven fire engines to fight the fire on Tuesday.

Investigators have not yet determined a cause.
