Motorcycle accident kills former La Center resident

A former La Center man has died of injuries he suffered in a motorcycle injury in Southern California.

Brian Persson, 47, had recently relocated to Encino, Calif.

He died Sunday evening of injuries suffered in motorcycle crash earlier that day, according to a news release from the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s office.

He was driving his motorcycle on California Highway 67 near Lakeside about 2:10 p.m. when he lost control on a left-turning curve. He suffered blunt-force head and neck injuries, the medical examiner’s office said.
