Henrietta is an 8-year-old flat-coat retriever mix who came to the shelter as a stray. She loves tennis balls and will retrieve them over and over again. Henrietta is an older gal but she doesn’t know it. She would make a great companion for walks, hiking and camping.

Smokey Joe is a 6-year-old blue domestic shorthair. He came to the shelter when his family could no longer care for him. Smokey Joe is an amazing cat and would do well in any loving home.

These pets are among those available for adoption from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. Fees — which can include registered microchip, health exam, a spay or neuter certificate and vaccination — vary. Call 360-693-4746.
