RICHLAND, Wash. (AP) — The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory at Richland has restored email service to its employees after a cyberattack.
Spokesman Greg Koller says external email was restored on Wednesday morning, but more work needs to be done to restore all Internet services.
Laboratory officials became aware of the sophisticated attack on Friday. The laboratory is operated by Battelle and conducts scientific research.
Koller says Battelle’s corporate offices in Ohio and Thomas Jefferson National Laboratory in Virginia also were targeted.
