PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The upper section of Larch Mountain Road beyond milepost 10 in rural Multnomah County will be closed Thursday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.so a sink hole that formed during the winter can be repaired.

County officials say the closure will apply to both motor vehicles and bicycles.

Larch Mountain Road is the highest road in Multnomah County’s jurisdiction. It reaches an altitude of 4055 feet. Each winter, the county closes public access to recreation areas off upper Larch Mountain Road by installing a snow gate at milepost 10.
