Metro area economic group names new top executive

Portland — Greater Portland Inc., formerly Greenlight Greater Portland, has named

Sean Robbins its chief executive officer. The regional economic development agency serves the Portland-Vancouver region.

Robbins previously was executive vice president of Thrive, the Madison, Wis.-based public-private economic development agency. Robbins has a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa.
