Crews search for missing hiker on Mount Rainier

TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — Nearly two dozen search crew and a helicopter are scouring Mount Rainier after a 65-year-old hiker was reported missing.

Park officials say the man was reported missing Friday morning. He was last seen in the Longmire area, and is thought to be hiking toward Van Trump Park.

Crews restarted the search Saturday morning.

Park officials say the man is an avid hiker.
