SEATTLE (AP) — The federal prosecutor’s office in Seattle says a 37-year-old Renton man has been sentenced to five years in prison for stealing nearly a quarter of a million dollars by skimming ATMs.

Claudiu Tudor was sentenced Friday. He was arrested in November 2010 after authorities were alerted to two men loitering near an ATM in Woodinville, Wash.

Authorities say that Tudor and another man used devices that store debit card information and cameras to record people’s ATM personal identification numbers. Charging papers say the two men stole information from more than 130 people in the area, totaling about $225,000.
