ZURICH (AP) — FIFA says Yemen will host a 2014 World Cup qualifying match against Iraq in the United Arab Emirates because of political turmoil at home.

Yemen’s return match July 28 will be played at Al Ain City, five days after Iraq hosts the first leg in Arbil.

Anti-government protests have also caused Syria’s July 23 home match against Tajikistan to be moved to Jordan’s capital city of Amman.

The matches in the Asian second preliminary round decide which countries advance to the main qualifying draw conducted July 30 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

FIFA says Belize will host Sunday’s CONCACAF preliminary round second-leg match against Montserrat in neutral San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

Belize’s government is in a dispute with soccer officials.
