Man hit by train in Portland loses leg

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A man struck by a train Monday night in Portland is expected to survive, but he lost part of his left leg.

Police say the 23-year-old man is recovering at a hospital.

Investigators had to call Union Pacific to stop the train so they could question the crew.
