A 58-year-old Vancouver man was in critical condition Tuesday night from injuries sustained when he fell off his bicycle and was run over by a flatbed truck on Saturday in Centralia.

Donald Becker is in the intensive care unit of PeaceHealth Southwest Washington Medical Center.

He was riding in the Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic, authorities said.

Centralia police said Becker was struck about 2 p.m. and run over by the truck’s dual rear tires, injuring his shoulders, back and lungs.

Police did not cite the truck driver.
