Auburn WA officer wounded in training exercise

AUBURN, Wash. (AP) — An Auburn, Wash., police spokesman says one Auburn officer accidentally shot another officer in the leg during a training exercise at a firing range.

Cmdr. Mike Hirman said the accident happened shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday at the Auburn police range.

KOMO reports that medics responded and treated the officer’s injury, which is not considered serious.
