DENVER (AP) — A Denver judge has ordered a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman at Denver International Airport to stand trial.

Twenty-six-year-old Noel Bertrand of Portland, Ore., is charged with sexual assault and kidnapping.

Bertrand’s defense attorney said Thursday the sex was consensual.

Authorities say Bertrand promised during the attack to teach her about pleasure and pain and to make her his sex slave, according to the Denver Post.

Bertrand was accused of assaulting a 22-year-old woman just after midnight April 12 after she missed a flight. Authorities say they struck up a conversation at an airport restaurant before he attacked her at nearby gate. They say airline employees saw the assault through a window and intervened.
