SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Fire officials in Spokane say they found the body of a 67-year-old woman when they responded to a fire at a double-wide manufactured home.

Firefighters say they found the body Friday afternoon in the area of the home that had the heaviest fire damage.

The Spokesman-Review says the victim was identified as Inez L. Williams. The newspaper says her dogs also died in the fire. Friends say several other pets that lived in the home were unaccounted for.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. However, the newspaper quotes a niece, Kim Staggs, as saying her aunt had large oxygen tanks in the home and often smoked in bed.
