MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — An Ashland man was found on the roof of a police substation, and the authorities say he was trying to break in.

The Medford Mail Tribune reports 32-year-old Michael Martin faces burglary, trespassing and criminal mischief charges after police found him early Saturday morning on the roof of the substation.

Deputy Medford police chief Corey Falls says the office has nothing of value inside.

The Ashland fire department used a ladder to reach Martin, who responded to voice commands by police and was coaxed off the roof.
