Top singers from July 4th competition named

Hudson’s Bay — The Fort Vancouver National Trust has announced the top three Clark County high school vocalists who performed on the Vancouver Toyota main stage at Independence Day at Fort Vancouver.

The top three performers selected were Lydia Moynihan, CAM High School, first place; Janelle Harriman, Skyview High School and Clark College Running Start, second place; and Remi Skalisky, Battle Ground High School, third place.

Each winner received a college scholarship, a Beacock Music gift card and a DVD of the Sing Fourth program.

Contestants were judged on originality, skill, poise, audience appeal and family-friendly content. Other vocalists were Yamileth Aguirre, Prairie High School; Michael Ash, Columbia River High School; Drew Bryant, Mountain View High School; Lydia Flemming, Mountain View High School; Sherry Henry, Prairie High School; Madison Thompson, Union High School and Alix Young, Skyview High School.
