CHICAGO (AP) — The Philadelphia Phillies have activated Shane Victorino for their game against the Chicago Cubs.
The center fielder will be batting fifth in the Phillies’ lineup for Tuesday night’s game, his first since being placed on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained right thumb.
To make room for Victorino on the roster, the Phillies optioned infielder Pete Orr to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday.
