Clark County solid waste board seeks member

County commissioners are accepting applications for an appointment to the Clark County Solid Waste Advisory Commission.

The vacant position is for a person representing Clark County public interest groups.

The nine-member volunteer group makes recommendations on solid waste, recycling and related issues to county commissioners.

The group also makes recommendations on landfills and transfer facilities.

Members serve three-year terms. They meet at 6 p.m. the first Thursday of each month.

To apply, send a letter of interest and résumé by 5 p.m. Aug. 19 to Jennifer Clark, Board of County Commissioners, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666-5000. Applications may also be emailed to jennifer.clark@clark.wa.gov.
