PUYALLUP, Wash. (AP) — A Pierce County fire official says a man has been found dead inside a burned mobile home in the Puyallup, Wash., area.

Central Pierce Fire & Rescue Assistant Chief Randy Stephens tells The News Tribune that neighbors tried to get inside the burning home Wednesday afternoon but the flames and heat were too intense.

By the time firefighters arrived, flames and smoke were coming out the windows and through the roof.

The victim was not immediately identified.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
