FRAZIER PARK, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a man wanted by the FBI and the 85-year-old mother he allegedly kidnapped have been found in Southern California.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement Saturday that deputies acting on a tip arrested 55-year-old Marshall Goldberg in Frazier Park, some 70 miles northwest of Los Angeles off Interstate 5.

Authorities say mother Doris Goldberg, who has Alzheimer’s disease, was found with him. Since May 24 she has been missing from the Ashland home she shares with another adult son, and a Jackson County grand jury indicted Marshall Goldberg on kidnapping and contempt of court charges.

Deputies did not know if Goldberg has an attorney.

Sheriff’s officials say Doris Goldberg was evaluated at a hospital, and arrangements have been made for her to return to Oregon.
