SEATTLE (AP) — A 22-year-old Kent, Wash., man charged with first-degree murder in the 2010 death of his ex-girlfriend has pleaded not guilty.

Ezekiel Watkins is charged in the death of 19-year-old Kathy Chou (Chow). Renton police believe she was stabbed to death. He entered his plea Tuesday.

Police say her remains were found earlier this month after Watkins was arrested and told investigators where to look for the body in Renton. She vanished in April 2010.

The Seattle Times says Watkins is held on $1 million bail.
