Editor retires after 35 years at Tri-Cities paper

KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) — The longtime executive editor of the Tri-City Herald newspaper in Kennewick is retiring after 35 years at the newspaper.

Ken Robertson’s last day is Friday.

McClatchy Co. on Wednesday named Laurie Williams as his replacement. McClatchy owns the newspaper.

Williams started at the paper in 1984 as a reporter and has served as assistant managing editor since 2000.
