ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — Free agents Justin Durant and Rashied Davis are set to join the Detroit Lions.
Durant, a linebacker who played four seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, confirmed Thursday that he will sign a two-year contract with the Lions. Davis, a wide receiver who played six years for the Chicago Bears, is also headed to Detroit, according to his agent.
The 6-foot-1, 240-pound Durant started nine games last season for the Jaguars while battling injuries. The 5-foot-9, 187-pound Davis caught nine passes for 84 yards and a touchdown last season for Chicago.
Both players are unrestricted free agents. Teams can talk to veteran free agents, but can’t sign them until Friday.
