UNIONDALE, N.Y. (AP) — The New York Islanders acquired veteran Brian Rolston and a conditional draft pick in 2012 from the New Jersey Devils for forward Trent Hunter on Thursday.

Rolston, a four-time 30-goal scorer, spent the last three seasons with the Devils. The 38-year-old Rolston had 14 goals and 34 points in 65 games last season. Rolston won the Stanley Cup in his rookie season with the Devils in 1994-95.

The 31-year-old Hunter was limited to 17 games last season because of a torn knee ligament. He had one goal and four points.

He spent the last nine seasons with the Islanders, and has career totals of 99 goals and 130 assists.
