DETROIT (AP) — Detroit Lions first-round draft pick Nick Fairley has signed a contract.

Brian Overstreet, Fairley’s agent, says the defensive lineman signed a four-year deal worth “right around $10 million” Thursday night — with a club option for a fifth year.

Fairley, who played at Auburn last season, was the No. 13 pick in the 2011 draft. The Lions hope he can team up with defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh to form a stout tandem at the line of scrimmage.

Detroit announced earlier Thursday it had signed its other four draft picks from this year.
