MCMINNVILLE, Ore. (AP) — Authorities say a barn used by Evergreen International Aviation to store helicopter parts has been destroyed by fire.

McMinnville Fire Dept. Investigator Debbie McDermott says crews battled the blaze Thursday night but it’s expected to be a total loss.

KGW reports that two 55-gallon drums containing an undermined substance exploded but no one was injured.

McDermott says the public is not at risk by anything that burned inside the barn, which is located near Highway 18 and Cruckshank Road.
